How much coverage do you offer?

My standard coverage includes the preparations of the bride to the emotion of the ceremony and fun at the reception, including the wedding breakfast and speeches. If you would like the first dance and evening celebrations covering there is a option to have an evening extension.

How long after the wedding before I see my photographs?
Normally 2 weeks of the wedding, we will have edited all the photos for you to view.

Will we have access to an online gallery of the pictures?

Yes, the images will go online for you, family and friends to see. This can be password protected. Photo can also be purchased directly from the site.

How many pictures will you take of our wedding?

The number of pictures that I take may vary depending on the type and time of wedding, amount of people, the venue, the lighting, etc. I generally provide approx 400-500 edited images of the day. If the preparations or the evening extension are not required then this may be a little less.

What if I don’t like having my photo taken?

Don't worry most people dislike having their photo taken and haven't had professional photographs taken before and believe they are not photogenic. However, with my style of natural reportage photography, beautiful shots are captured without you even being aware I'm there, which can make for some of the best pictures.

What albums do you offer?

I offer both stylish coffee table storybooks made in Italy and hand-made conventional albums from England. They are both individually designed in-house and a pdf design of the albums sent for your approval before making. Parent albums and pocket books also available.

How does the album design process work?

Once I have shown you your wedding photographs I set about designing your album for you together with my dedicated photo editor. This takes the headache of having to select photos away from you (although we obviously welcome your input). Once designed, I send you the proof pages for your comments. There is no limit on the number of revisions that you can make. Once you are entirely happy I send it for production and it deliver it to you within 4 – 10 weeks depending on which album you choose.

Can you suggest a list of group photos that works well, without taking up too much time from the day?

Wedding days are very emotional and often quite stressful. By having a photo list you can get on with enjoying your day in the knowledge that the photos you want will be taken. Here is a list of what I normally suggest to help with your plans. I normally ask for no more then 6-8 group photos as to allow time with the bride and groom and for shots of guests enjoying themselves.

Will you travel to our wedding and do you charge extra?

I travel both nationally in the UK and internationally for weddings. In the UK, travel is charged at 40p per mile in excess of 50 miles from my address to the wedding venue. For weddings with more than a 3-hour drive to, accommodation for me is expected. For weddings where a flight is necessary, expenses include taxis to/from the airport, the flight, accommodation and food.

What happens if I’m sick on the day?

In all my time photographing weddings, I’ve never had to cancel due to ill health. However should the unthinkable happen, I have a strong network of photographers with whom I have worked with previously and can call upon. I will always do my utmost to make sure you are not let down.

What if it rains?

With our unpredictable weather in the UK, my policy is to always be prepared in case it does rain. I always bring a white umbrella should there be some rain and it can actually make for some great photos as you will see in my gallery. It doesn't normally rain all day and so there are usually opportunities to get outdoors. However, if it chucks it down all day, then I also have studio lighting which I can easily set up indoors for some professional photos of the bride and groom and the family photos.

Are you insured?

Yes. I have both public liability insurance for £2m and £75k indemnity insurance.

Do you shoot on film or digital?

I shoot on digital in RAW with Canon cameras using only the best Canon ‘L’ Series lenses.

Do you work with an assistant?

For the majority of weddings I tend to work alone, but I sometimes bring an assistant to help occasionally.

Who will have the copyright of the pictures?

Every photographer retains the copyright of the images. However, you have an option to purchase all the edited high resolution images on CD allowing you to print/enlarge the images from the disc as many times as you like.

Do you require feeding on the day?

This is totally up to you (although it helps to keep me working at my optimum). If you do decide not to feed me, please let me know in advance so that I can bring some sandwiches.

Do you offer a gift list/voucher service?

Yes. If you would like to ask your friends and family to contribute towards the cost of your photography I can take payments (including credit/debit cards via the website. Go to online pics and you will see gift vouchers) we will send a physical gift voucher they can give to you.
