Lisa and David’s Wedding at Ashton Lodge Country House
Wedding Photography – Ashton Lodge Country House. It was a pleasure to be back at this beautiful venue for another wedding, this time with new owners in place, and what a transformation they’ve made. Lots of work had been done earlier in the year and Lisa and David had the place dressed beautifully. It holds lots of great memories for me too as it was where I got married many years ago.
I covered my usual preparations with Lisa and the girls getting ready in the new dressing room and some of David and their son when they arrived. Hair and Mae-up were covered by the fab Amy Louise Lisa looked stunning as her brother gave her away with a lovely relaxed ceremony. We had quite a bit of rain, but that didn’t dampen the mood. My back-up plan, I set up some lighting and photographed the group photos indoors with the fireplace as a nice backdrop as you will see in the photos.
The ceremony room and marquee looked beautiful with lots of fine touches created by Marianne Taviner. Gorgeous flowers provided by Sarah from Stemsations. After speeches, there was a break in the rain, so I managed to have everyone outside for photos and covered some bride and groom shots in the brief time we had. Even with the short time I still managed to cover everything I normally do so never be to put off by a bit of rain.
The evening commenced and what a party they had with music from Craig of ‘Not just a DJ’. A lot of guests up dancing always gets the night rocking. I left the happy couple after covering some twilight photographs.
Congratulations Lisa and David. Thank you for having me photograph your special day.
Are you planning your wedding at Ashton Lodge?
There is so much to consider when planning your special day. Once you have booked your venue, it’s important to search for key suppliers. Ideally start by searching for a wedding photographer in the area. Most venues have recommended suppliers and hold a wedding fayre a couple of times a year so, you can find other suppliers too. Meeting with the photographer is really helpful to establish a connection before your wedding day. I have a meeting room with lots of my storybook albums and wall art for couples to browse over.
If you’re looking for a wedding photographer for your special day, feel free to browse through lots of my posts on my blog with real weddings to help you understand my natural style of documenting a wedding along with some beautiful portraits of the couple.
I offer free consultation meetings with a cup of tea or coffee if you’d like to arrange a meeting one day or evening. Drop me an email or call 07702 134573.
